Focused Ultrasound for ALS: Neuromodulation Clinical Trial Begins in Spain

A clinical trial in Spain is now enrolling participants with non-familial amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
The Foundation and the ALS Association are co-funding the research study, which is testing neuromodulation to slow the progression of the disease.

Foundation-Funded Project Update: Histotripsy Treatment for the Brain

Researchers recently completed a project to develop and validate a transcranial histotripsy system.
The team evaluated several regions of the brain and gathered data to inform the design of a next-generation device.

Final Call for Summer Global Internship Applications

The Foundation’s Global Internship Program enables high school and college students who are interested in focused ultrasound to conduct research with esteemed mentors in the field.
Applications for this three-month research experience are due Monday, April 21.
